Introduction
Submitsu exists to give Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu a fresh start online. We’re a data-focused platform built for practitioners at every level, and we believe the sport deserves better than scattered spreadsheets, outdated directories, and guesswork. Our mission is simple: bring structure to BJJ data so you can make better decisions, find better fits, and move the sport forward.
Data focused platform
We’re not a directory. We’re not a site that posts clickbait articles. Submitsu is a data-focused platform. We aim to be the one-stop shop for jiu-jitsu insights: uniforms, techniques, training, injuries, resources, events, and more. Everything in one place, structured so it actually works together.
We collect and standardise data across the key areas of BJJ. That means you can compare like with like. Whether you’re sizing a gi, exploring technique connections, or choosing where to train, the data is built to help you get the best experience. The more we standardise between areas, the more useful the platform becomes.
The standardisation plan
Here’s the reality: BJJ data is scattered. It lives on dozens of websites, spread across different platforms, locked in formats that don’t talk to each other. Plenty of people have tried to push a data platform forward, and then stopped. Clothing brands often don’t have enough product data. Technique resources are spread across YouTube, paid sites, and gym walls. Club information is patchy at best.
We’re building base models for the key areas of jiu-jitsu. Not perfect from day one, but foundations that can grow. By creating consistent structures for uniforms, techniques, clubs, and more, we give the community something to build on. Over time, that data gets richer, and everyone benefits.

We gathered up the size guides and put them in the same place. Search one system and find the uniform that should fit you best. No more hopping between brand sites or guessing from inconsistent charts. It gets better over time too, as users input their findings and measurements, and the recommendations improve for everyone.
Submitsu Universe
This is the hub of BJJ techniques. We collect all the thoughts and ideas around one technique and bring them into one place. We control the underlying dataset and how techniques relate to each other, creating a web of interconnected moves. We also gather the best resources from the best instructors across content platforms and let you vote on which content should be crowned king.
Explore
An interactive tool that lets you explore the universe of techniques and see how they relate. Get ideas on the flow of jiu-jitsu: how techniques connect, what options open up from a position, and how the game branches. It’s built for discovery.
Locations
A hub for each city across the world. We gather the most relevant sources of jiu-jitsu and put them in one place: local training times, pricing, events, seminars, and retreats. We’re making a central home for anyone looking for jiu-jitsu or planning to train on the move.
Uniforms
A big part of jiu-jitsu is the uniform you wear. We have a section designed to give you an overview of the whole market, not just a small slice. We aim to promote and showcase smaller brands so you get a better look at what’s out there and find exactly what you’re looking for.
